David Liptak, Founding Member & Chairman


Mr. Liptak serves as Chairman of the Board of Greenhaven Group. Mr. Liptak is also the Founder and Managing Partner of Spring Street Partners, LP, an investment partnership that has provided capital, expertise and strategic relationships to innovative small companies since July 1994. After receiving a B.A. degree in Economics from Harvard College in 1981, Mr. Liptak began his career as an analyst for Bear, Stearns & Co. in their proprietary arbitrage department. In September 1984, Mr. Liptak joined Oppenheimer & Co. as a Senior Vice President and managed their proprietary arbitrage department until November 1991. In 1992 Mr. Liptak founded West Broadway Partners, Inc., and was Portfolio Manager for the firm's event driven and arbitrage funds, and served as Chairman of the firm's Executive Committee until March 2005. Mr. Liptak serves as a member of the Board of Directors of a number of companies, including as Chairman of Diligent Board Member Services, a publically listed software as a service company based in New York, NY; Health Integrated, Inc., a privately-held behavioral health management company based in Tampa, FL; and Plum Media a privately-held interactive voice recognition software company based in New York, NY. Mr. Liptak is married with three children and lives in Manhattan.

Ashmead Pringle, Founding Member & President


Mr. Pringle serves as President of GreenHaven Group. He is responsible for the overall firm strategy and serves on the Product Development committee. Mr. Pringle co-founded GreenHaven, LLC and has served as the President since October 2006. In 1984 Mr. Pringle founded Grain Service Corporation, a commodity research and trading company where he still serves as President. Mr. Pringle has conducted hundreds of seminars on hedging, risk management, and basis trading in energy and agriculture, and is a recognized expert in commodity risk management. He has been quoted in the Wall Street Journal and appeared on CNBC. Mr. Pringle holds a B.S. in Mechanical Engineering from Duke University and an M.B.A. from Harvard Business School.

Tom Fernandes, Founding Member & Managing Principal


Mr. Fernandes is a Managing Principal of GreenHaven Group. He is responsible for the strategy and daily operations of the farmland and livestock businesses. Additionally, he serves on the Product Development, Land Acquisition and Hedging Committees. Previously Mr. Fernandes co-founded and served as COO of GreenHaven, LLC, holding that position since October of 2006. From May 2005 to October 2006, Mr. Fernandes worked as a commodity derivatives expert at Grain Service Corporation. Prior to joining Grain Service Corporation, Mr. Fernandes worked as an analyst at West Broadway Partners, an investment partnership, from March 2002 to April 2005. From March 2000 to March 2002, Mr. Fernandes was employed as a trader at Fleet Bank of Boston and from 1996 to 2000 he was a trader at Speer, Leeds & Kellogg. Mr. Fernandes has an M.B.A. from Fordham University and a B.A. in Political Science from SUNY Geneseo.

Scott Glasing, VP Trading & Operations


Mr. Glasing serves as the VP of Trading and Futures Operations for GreenHaven Group. He also serves as the Head Trader for GreenHaven Commodity Services, the managing owner of the GreenHaven Continuous Commodity Index Fund (Symbol GCC). His responsibilities include daily portfolio management, cash flow management, treasury portfolio management, and quantitative analysis for the fund. Additional responsibilities include sitting on the Product Development Committee, as well as futures and financial product research. Mr. Glasing also serves as the Director of Operations for Grain Service Corporation where he helps clients with their hedge accounts. He has over 26 years of futures industry experience, holds a Series 3 license and was first registered with the NFA in 1988. Previously, Mr. Glasing worked with both spec and hedging clients at several Chicago firms. He has studied finance and economics at the University of Illinois at Chicago, as well as hedging at the Chicago Board of Trade.
